For the line through the MAD project. From our analysis of the museum, we noted that the exhibition rooms are well distributed but lack unity and so confuse visitors. We decided to base our project on design rather than altering the building structurally. A system of furniture will create a central thread catering to the needs of the visitors as well as the employees. It is important to create a place that provides information on the exhibition, the life of the decorative arts museum and the area it sits in. Velcro’s modularity provides a freedom that is helpful for placing information front and centre. This furniture system shines the spotlight on the works on display and enables the visitor to be a spectator rather than an agent in the life of the museum.
