Sociologically, access to culture is elitist. The people crossing the museum threshold were raised in the same social categories. The MAD is no exception.Yet political strategies have been formulated to break down the barriers for accessing culture: popular education. This concept consists of levelling out access to knowledge by eschewing traditional educational practices. My contribution is underpinned by three radical installations that aim to overturn certain recurrent paradigms found in museums. The notions of patrimonial architecture, reserves of works and even the utilisation of the museum are questioned here. Conjointly, they provide a strategy for the MAD as a whole.
