Utopian culture runs through the site of Châteauvallon. The vibrant energy of the performing arts, freedom, engagement and cohesion are the lifeblood of this theatre that has always embodied the avant-garde. The theatre might stand alone on its hill today, yet the site harbours the potential to draw in the crowds once more. The utopia begins in the spirit of those who dream of it. We dream of a conscious relationship with the earth, plants and wildlife. We dream of feeling the poetry of the living. We propose sharing this utopia by creating a scenography that interacts with the movement of Châteauvallon’s natural environment. Along a path of transition from theatre to forest, the visitor will be immersed in the life that thrives behind the scenes.
