Les Terrasses de Châteauvallon

At the centre of the vast site of Châteauvallon, ‘the terraces’ form a magnificent yet abandoned patch of land. This fallow area surrounded by beautiful dry stone walls holds the potential for everyone to enjoy its ideal situation. Creating a new destination, the project will draw on the benefits of the landscape using lightweight structures that can be deftly installed into the environment to enhance rather than detract from it. The metal kiosks will be constructed on this undulating natural division forming a subtle crescendo. Day and night, in summer as in winter, the ‘terraces’ will operate apace with life at Châteauvallon, providing a calm and secluded spot to have a coffee, relax in the day, meet others, a place to meet, talk, enjoy a drink and discuss the performance after a show.
