Our project stems from the desire to reconnect with the MAD’s mission to educate and transmit knowledge. We feel that the institution’s educational approach and overall organisation should be underpinned by a unifying intention to orient the museum, laying fertile ground for the entire project. Our proposal consists of presenting the permanent collections around three key ideas – the sacred, movement and progress – that will also dictate how the spaces are organised. This arrangement will create unexpected ties between the objects, including in their historical and social context, the influences between the creations and the technical processes. It will also open up new opportunities for using the spaces through various partnerships.
