Our project aims to create a new museographic installation within the MAD bringing harmony to the collection and the building. The permanent collections will be entirely reorganised around the nave forming a seamless and chronological sequence. This journey will offer continuous visibility of the nave, the nerve centre of the museum. The experience will be paced by arches moulded into the building, creating a visual code that will invite the visitor to move forward, stop and contemplate the object as much as the architectural backdrop. As such, this scenographic experience will encourage a fresh way to explore the MAD’s permanent collections.
