The MAD is a resource centre for craft and industrial know-how. Taking the idea of museum as a place for learning, our project focusses on its mission to transmit and preserve knowledge. The objective is to create cross-cutting ties between its components and improve access for all. Firstly, by restoring the library to a place commensurate with its history by granting it one of the finest spaces in the building but also diversifying its role within the museum. Next, by reorganising the permanent collection by creating continuity within the library, frequently rotating the objects on display, and opening it up to the temporary collections that will be expanded to diversify the exhibitions and attract visitors.
