The MAD sensory journey is an attempt to offer accessibility solutions in museums to people with autism. The major challenge of this disability is sensory problems, so sensory overload must be avoided so as not to trigger a crisis. The project redesigns the Art Nouveau room at the MAD and is divided into two sections: a set design that anticipates any sensory elements harmful to people with autism and cultural outreach that explores the works through the prism of sensitivity rather than academic knowledge. The objective is to show how including disability issues prior to the project increases the overall experience in the museum, beyond the realm of disability.
