The Opera is a place of passion, freedom and creation, of expression, engagement, utopia and magic. This field of experimentation results in spectacular shows, blending many art forms. Disciplines such as dance, music, light, poetry, architecture, costume, decor, set design, video and many more communicate with each other. There are a thousand ways to get these artistic disciplines to interact, to create a total artwork. How do the disciplines connect to each other? By merging? By separating? By contrasting? Through an analysis of notable works in the modern and contemporary era, we will look at these different versions of interdisciplinarity.
