Through ten experiences worldwide, experienced in situ at outdoor contemporary art institutions, we investigate the link between contemporary artwork and the natural and architectural context in which it is placed. For around twenty years, artworks have been moving out of the traditional museum setting and into outdoor spaces, far from urban centres, enabling a radically different approach to the works. Is this exhibition format becoming the new model that allows a new relationship between art and nature?
