As the daughter of a cabinetmaker, I can picture myself surrounded by piles of wood. I enjoy handling it, colouring it or chopping it up. This provokes many questions and my travels all over the world have only accentuated this curiosity. From a visit to the Balinese mountains where rubber is King, then surrounded by potters in Athens, it became clear to me that I should study clay and wood and make the most of my personal experiences. The centuries pass and the world changes. New priorities emerge. The impact of pollution from some materials is already causing a problem. The technological era requires a new design, a new way of thinking and even a new way of living.
