From Place des Vosges, the former hub of the city\u2019s decorative arts industrial know-how, to the Rue de Rivoli today, what remains? At its original site at Place des Vosges, the MAD was primarily there to educate practitioners. The sharing or more importantly the transmission of knowledge seems to have been the institution\u2019s doctrine since its inception. Where has this tradition gone within this museum obsessed with objects? We thought about how we might revive the role of Place des Vosges today.
