Mon projet consiste dans l’accueil \u00e0 donner une id\u00e9e, un avant-go\u00fbt de l\u2019ampleur de la collection du mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs. Je souhaitais donner une impression forte, presque choquer. Je souhaite que les gens prennent conscience qu\u2019ils se situent dans un endroit des superlatifs. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Par la multiplication des objets projet\u00e9s qui d\u00e9fileraient sur les parois, par la grande dimension des affiches projet\u00e9es l\u2019id\u00e9e est d\u2019impressionner et de donner envie. J\u2019ai choisi de laisser apparents les projecteurs de m\u00eame les donner a voir comme objets significateurs de ce nouveau Mad tr\u00e8s num\u00e9rique. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Je m\u2019empare du panneau blanc autoportant d\u2019exposition habituel et le transforme en surfaces de projection en ogive formant tant\u00f4t un portail tant\u00f4t un parement mural pour le desk. Le porche d\u2019entr\u00e9e est lui aussi habill\u00e9 par ces projections qui signifient le MAD aux passant et les attirent a l\u2019int\u00e9rieur.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Les outils de projection permettent de replacer les objets dans leur contextes initial, de les envelopper de leur environnement d’origine. On peut alors se projeter dans leur histoire plus facilement.
Puisque derri\u00e8re chaque objet se d\u00e9roule alors son univers, il m’a paru important de r\u00e9duire leur nombre par pi\u00e8ce.

J’ai voulu produire un espace \u00e9pur\u00e9, focalisant l\u2019attention sur les objets. J’insiste sur le contraste entre les espaces nus, support de l\u2019information projet\u00e9e et le d\u00e9tail des objets des collections. On refocalise ainsi l\u2019attention du visiteur sur l\u2019objet expos\u00e9<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

J’ai voulu r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 un espace qui soit comme un \u00abmoteur d\u2019exploration\u00bb physique du mus\u00e9e et de ses collections num\u00e9riques, sorte de \u00abcoeur\u00bb du MAD d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la recherche et \u00e0 l\u2019exploration d\u00e9taill\u00e9e des collections. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Des espaces de recherche donnant acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la collection num\u00e9ris\u00e9e entourent le vide centrale. De grand Kak\u00e9monos tombent depuis la verri\u00e8re et peuvent servir de support \u00e0 des projections de pr\u00e9sentations ou d’expositions. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

L’id\u00e9e est de modeler un espace participatif dynamique en facilitant le passage d’une recherche personnelle \u00e0 un moment de partage.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n","protected":false},"author":234,"featured_media":17679,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_metafield_presentation":"To put the world\u2019s largest collection of decorative arts on show, and after analysing comments posted online, I decided to focus my project on creating a paperless, digitised collection. Digital technology allows me to process this vast collection of which 80,000 digitised works are already available on the website. Consequently, I provide new \u201clayers\u201d of extra information, placing the objects in their original context, showing fragile pieces or spaces hard to access. I have sought to refine and dematerialise the volume of works to focus the visitor\u2019s attention on the object. The minimalist and simplified interpretive space then allows me to project the object's history, environment and context.
