Naturellement, j\u2019ai choisi de m\u2019inscrire dans le contexte singulier de Toulon, une ville en pleine mutation, \u00e0 l\u2019aube d\u2019une renaissance et d\u2019une reconnaissance, qui lui a si longtemps \u00e9chapp\u00e9. Il m\u2019est apparu comme une \u00e9vidence d\u2019implanter ce projet dans l\u2019Ancien-\u00c9v\u00each\u00e9 de Toulon, joyau du patrimoine de la ville. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Carte de la ville. <\/em>L’Ancien-\u00c9v\u00each\u00e9 est un site de caract\u00e8re au carrefour du Cours Lafayette et de la rue Jean Aicard. Il se situe au c\u0153ur de deux axes tr\u00e8s passant : l\u2019un relie le Boulevard de Strasbourg au port, et l\u2019autre relie la Porte d\u2019Italie au coeur de la vieille ville, en passant devant l\u2019Ilot Courdouan et devant les Halles, dont l\u2019ouverture est imminente.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

L\u2019Ancien-\u00c9v\u00each\u00e9 est un lieu n\u00e9 au Ve si\u00e8cle, qui a travers\u00e9 toute l\u2019histoire de la ville. Aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019est un lieu qui a une histoire complexe et qui pr\u00e9sente une lecture difficile de sa fa\u00e7ade \u00e0 cause des nombreux ajouts, sur\u00e9l\u00e9vations et devantures commerciales imposantes.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Le projet se compose de plusieurs entr\u00e9es qui articulent 5 lieux : 
La question du rapport \u00e0 la ville avec le traitement de la fa\u00e7ade sur le Cours Lafayette et la terrasse de la place Paul Comte. Ainsi qu’une activit\u00e9 tout au long de l’ann\u00e9e, compos\u00e9e de trois entit\u00e9s : le Jardin d\u2019hiver, le Caf\u00e9 Maurice et la boutique.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

J\u2019ai choisi de m\u2019inscrire dans l\u2019Ancien-\u00c9v\u00each\u00e9 comme un d\u00e9cor, une double peau qui vient se greffer dans l\u2019enveloppe ancienne du lieu, class\u00e9e au titre de Monument Historique. Ainsi, tout est r\u00e9versible, d\u00e9montable. J\u2019ai voulu tirer parti de la morphologie des espaces du lieu : les volumes, les ouvertures, la nature des murs et des sols, afin de traduire spatialement la forte identit\u00e9 de la Villa Noailles. Pour les trois espaces \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, j\u2019ai pris le parti d\u2019utiliser un seul et m\u00eame mat\u00e9riau au niveau des sols : des tomettes en terre cuite. La pierre naturelle des murs est conserv\u00e9e et certains sont rev\u00eatis de parois en double peau, peintes de couleur vives ou peintes par des artistes invit\u00e9s \u00e0 intervenir dans l’espace. D’autre part, des panneaux techniques et des niches en double peau viennent habiller l\u2019espace.\u00a0\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

Plan g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. L<\/em>a base de l\u2019espace est dans des tons blanc cass\u00e9, \u00e9cru. L\u2019intervention de la couleur et du dessin vient embellir le lieu. Ainsi, l\u2019Ancien-\u00c9v\u00each\u00e9 sera singulier au fil des ann\u00e9es au niveau esth\u00e9tique.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

LE JARDIN D’HIVER<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Situ\u00e9 dans la cour int\u00e9rieure, v\u00e9ritable havre de paix, le Jardin d’hiver accueille les visiteurs tout au long de l\u2019ann\u00e9e, autant en \u00e9t\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce aux baies\u00a0 coulissantes qui permettent de l\u2019ouvrir compl\u00e8tement. Tout comme en hiver gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa verri\u00e8re qui prot\u00e8ge du froid. Les usagers peuvent accompagner leur caf\u00e9 tout au long de la journ\u00e9e avec des p\u00e2tisseries ou petits sandwichs pr\u00e9par\u00e9s dans la cuisine.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

L\u2019usager est invit\u00e9 \u00e0 fl\u00e2ner pour d\u00e9couvrir une s\u00e9lection exigeante de r\u00e9alisations uniques d\u2019artistes, stylistes ou designers.
