Ma d\u00e9marche a d\u00e9but\u00e9 en contemplant les tableaux r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par le peintre danois Vilhem Hammershoi. Proche de la d\u00e9marche d’un \u00e9crivain, il construit ses images \u00e0 partir de l’observation du r\u00e9el, qu’il d\u00e9cale vers une traduction onirique des espaces. Chaque tableau conf\u00e8re d\u00e8s lors une sensation de flottement, entre deux mondes. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Le temps s’arr\u00eate et ouvre des espaces o\u00f9 chacun peut se perdre, ressentir que l’imagination augmente les valeurs du r\u00e9el, que la po\u00e9sie est une \u00e2me inaugurant une forme. Dans chacune de ces peintures, sont repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s des espaces, des objets et parfois une personne, en l’occurrence une femme, sa femme, statique, immobile. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Dans ces tableaux il n’existe aucune interaction entre les objets et la personne pr\u00e9sente, c’est comme si le temps \u00e9tait fig\u00e9. Cela a \u00e9voqu\u00e9 une certaine m\u00e9lancolie en moi, semblable \u00e0 celle ressentie apr\u00e8s des mois de confinement. Cet “enfermement” nous oblige \u00e0 nous confronter, sinon \u00e0 nous-m\u00eame, aux biens pr\u00e9sents dans nos int\u00e9rieurs. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Avec de projet, je veux cr\u00e9er des relations entre l’individu, l’objet et l’espace. La lampe, objet quotidien par excellence, plac\u00e9 dans chacune des pi\u00e8ces de nos maisons, fut mon premier objet d’\u00e9tude.
C’est \u00e0 nouveaux au sein de tableaux, mais \u00e9galement de sc\u00e8nes cin\u00e9matographiques que j’ai puis\u00e9 mon inspiration. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

J\u2019ai souhait\u00e9 ajouter \u00e0 ce travail de lumi\u00e8re et de couleur, la notion de spatialit\u00e9. J\u2019ai ainsi peint un espace \u00e0 l\u2019ambiance plut\u00f4t neutre. Le but de cette premi\u00e8re peinture d\u2019espace \u00e9tait de servir de base \u00e0 un travail de couleur, de lumi\u00e8re et d\u2019atmosph\u00e8re dans ce m\u00eame espace. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Les multiples transformations de ce dessin par la peinture, cr\u00e9ent d\u00e9j\u00e0 de nombreuses \u00e9motions, toutes diff\u00e9rentes. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

C\u2019est en passant \u00e0 une plus grande \u00e9chelle et en m\u2019inspirant de photographies d\u2019espaces habit\u00e9s que s\u2019est poursuivi ce projet de peinture d\u2019atmosph\u00e8res. La peinture me permet de figer l\u2019instant, de capturer le temps, ce qui en fait un r\u00e9el outil dans ce projet. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

En dessinant des espaces peints presque en marge du r\u00e9el, je souhaite constituer une promenade onirique dans des espaces de vie quotidiens, tel un cheminement de contemplation. J\u2019invite ainsi celui qui regarde \u00e0 interroger ses propres perceptions et ses \u00e9motions face \u00e0 ces dessins suscitant des sensations guid\u00e9es. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Ce voyage, cette r\u00eaverie peut-\u00eatre, explore de fait, les capacit\u00e9s conjointes de la peinture et de l\u2019architecture int\u00e9rieure \u00e0 r\u00e9v\u00e9ler des espaces existants, sensibles et humains. On cr\u00e9e ainsi un syst\u00e8me de repr\u00e9sentation des lieux familiers qui ne pourraient exister sans le travail de la couleur. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Au sein de ce projet d\u2019atmosph\u00e8res, je propose de partir de lieux connus et de l\u2019interpr\u00e9tation que j\u2019en fais, pour proposer des projets d\u2019espaces trait\u00e9s par le m\u00e9dium de la peinture. Ces sc\u00e9nographies mises en \u0153uvre sont comme des r\u00eaves d\u2019espaces. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Pour finir et pour rendre compte de ce que ce projet d\u2019atmosph\u00e8re propose, j\u2019ai reconstitu\u00e9 un espace que j\u2019ai enti\u00e8rement peint. Cela \u00e9nonce ainsi la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00eatre un architecte d\u2019int\u00e9rieur autrement. Plut\u00f4t que de r\u00e9aliser des espaces, des pleins, des vides, des meubles ; <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

en transformant ces espaces uniquement par la couleur et par les effets de lumi\u00e8re, emmenant celui qui regarde dans des espaces presque m\u00e9taphysiques, des trompe-l\u2019\u0153il, en jouant sur le d\u00e9calage entre vision et r\u00e9alit\u00e9.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

By designing painted spaces almost on the margins of reality, I want to create a dreamlike walk through everyday life.
