Njaboot qui signifie famille en Wolof.
Le Wolof une langue parl\u00e9e au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, en Mauritanie, au Mali en Guin\u00e9e et en Gambie. C’est la langue qui sert de communication dans la diaspora en Europe, une langue beaucoup parl\u00e9e dans la ville de Saint-Denis. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

L’enjeu de cette r\u00e9habilitation est de donner \u00e0 cette ancienne piscine la visibilit\u00e9 qu’elle avait auparavant tout en conservant les volumes et l’esth\u00e9tique du b\u00e2timent d’origine. Un lieu d’apprentissage, de brassage de population dans ce quartier compos\u00e9 de diff\u00e9rentes cultures et classes sociales.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Le niveau 0 est compos\u00e9 d’un espace de restauration dans le premier corps de b\u00e2timent. Dans l’espace ou se trouvait le bassin auparavant un march\u00e9 est install\u00e9. Il est compos\u00e9 de quatre stands : fruits et l\u00e9gumes, vente de tissus, ventes et dons de livres et enfin vente de produits cosm\u00e9tiques. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Le niveau 1 et 2 du b\u00e2timent accueillent des espaces de travails partag\u00e9s. Ces bureaux permettent aux habitant de louer un espace o\u00f9 travailler \u00e0 bas prix. L’objectif est d’inciter les jeunes \u00e0 se lancer et de cr\u00e9er de l’\u00e9conomie sur le territoire.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Le premier sous-sol accueil de son c\u00f4t\u00e9 des espaces d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 l’audiovisuel et du son. Un studio photo en libre acc\u00e8s permet aux habitants de faire des shooting professionnel, familiaux ou de tout autre type. Deux studios d’enregistrement permettent de venir enregistrer une \u00e9mission de radio, un podcast, un RAP ou une musique. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Njaboot est un lieu de vie en plein coeur de Saint-Denis compos\u00e9 d’activit\u00e9s pour les habitants dans le but de rapprocher les populations de cette ville cosmopolite. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Le tout fait par une r\u00e9habilitation sobre qui conserve et met en avant les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d’origine du lieu.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

This project proposes an architectural and scenographic treatment in which the social mission and the coming together of the various populations in this cosmopolitan area are at the forefront. The generous dimensions of the swimming pool and its location allow us to develop a programme suited to the local residents, which will include a restaurant, a market, shared workspaces and various audiovisual studios. Working on the existing and new vertical flows helps to locate the building in the town.
