In France, 70% of pupils in public secondary schools eat lunch in the canteen. The canteen represents an enclosed space, more intimate than a playground, where adolescents can retreat and escape with their friends. It's therefore interesting to look at how they eat together, using various surveys conducted during this dissertation. Each of the canteens reflects the identity of the school and its educational values. What are the challenges for an interior architect and what can they use to construct these canteens?
