I have looked at the work of Peter Zumthor to understand his strategies in creating atmosphere. How can we explore the sensory qualities of architecture? What is atmosphere and why is Peter Zumthor's atmosphere so unique? This dissertation revolves around a language of eighteen key words and over fifty drawings that enable me to analyse architecture and highlight the different points needed to produce an atmosphere.
